There is no reason that you can’t get creative with the different ways to store various items in your kitchen, and one of the best ways is to upcycle plastic bottles so that they can be repurposed to have creative storage.
There are many different bottles that you can use, but for this we will talk about using Coffee Mate bottles as shown in Hometalk.
This job does not take too long and the best part is you don’t need a terribly large amount of skill. Just simply get the Coffee Mate bottle, some scissors, paper, and whatever item you need to be stored.
1. The Coffee Mate Bottle
These bottles are great to use because they have a snap-close top and also are quite easy to work with. They also are affordable, so even if you are not a Coffee Mate person, it may be worth it just to buy a few, dump the contents, and work from there.
2. Empty Bottles
Make sure that all the creamer is out of the bottles. This is really important to do because the last thing you want is having anything in there that can spoil and thus affect whatever you plan to store.
3. Rinse and Return
When you are done emptying the creamer, go ahead and give the bottle a few rinses. The key here is making sure that when you get clear water in the bottle that you let it air dry before proceeding further.
4. Cut off the Label
The Coffee Mate label is quite easy to get rid of. Simply take scissors and slide the blade against the bottle but underneath the paper. Just be sure that you don’t clip the plastic as you remove the label.
5. Peel Label and Remove Glue
If you simply cut a slit into the label, peel it off. At this point you may notice where glue has been used to secure the label, this is where you want to go ahead and scrub off the glue with something like the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.
