While making over a kid’s bedroom, one of the best ways to really personalize the space is picture canvases. The problem is canvases roughly $90 per canvas. There is good news, however, you can find two canvases at Ross for $7.99. Once you get these canvases, the rest is very easy.
The process is found on Hometalk, and once you see how much money you save along with how great these canvas photos look, you’ll know the best way to give a bedroom or any space a sparkling makeover.
With a 20×30 picture size printing on Walmart matte photo paper and paying $18 per photo, it is pretty easy to see that this is a great way to save money while getting the same high level of décor.

1. Attach Picture to Canvas
The easy way is to use modpodge to attach your picture to the canvas. Make sure it’s centered the way you want before you go applying the adhesive. You will notice that the picture will overlap – that’s ok! This will be taken care of in the next step.
2. Trim Excess
Use scissors or a knife to trim the excess. This is best done once the adhesive has set. Fold the excess around the edge of the canvas, take your blade and cut the excess. At this point, a simple staple gun is all you need to keep the photo tight to the canvas.
3. Seal the Photo
Use a final coat of modpodge to seal the canvas photo. This will keep it a bit safer from the elements and give it a nice shine. Once the modpodge has dried, use a regular picture hanging set to hang it, otherwise a couple well-placed nails can work just as easily for your budget art!
