Hand scrubs are great for any rough and dehydrated skin – in fact they do wonders for restoring your skin! When it comes to aromatics and herbs, often I’ve found that using the things found naturally are the most effective and pleasant beauty treatments.
As you can see on Hometalk, making a great hand scrub is quite easy. The process is extremely simple.
For people who love natural solutions for beauty, few things work as well as this lemon and lavender hand scrub, and as you get more skilled, it gets easier to find the right thickness and even add variations to personalize your scrub.
1. Canning Jars
These are essential to your hand scrub, they seal so that your hand scrub will remain fresh and aromatic no matter how much time passes between uses. Few things work nearly as well.
2. Ingredients and Tools Needed
-1 Cup of granulated sugar
-1 teaspoon honey
-Juice of half a lemon
-Lemon zest (half a lemon)
-1/4 cup of olive oil
-10 drops of lavender essential oil
-1 teaspoon of lavender (chopped-really fine)
-Canning Jars for Storage
3. Lemon Zest
This is one of the most aromatic parts of the lemon and is essential to making sure your hand scrub is aromatic. Use a zester for best results or use a peeler and then finely mince to get a zest.
Finely chop the lavender for best results including having a nice soothing aroma. Few things are known to be as soothing as lavender.
